Ineffectual Imaginings

foraging in the day's incandescence
hoping to bear witness to existence
i locate & make note of extreme
occurrences of unconsciousness

ineffectual imaginings

i have seen the rugged tireless
beauty of true ascetics & renegades
& borne witness to the sad intermittence
of ascetic & renegade pretense

unfolding flora

i have seen criminals keeping sheep
in pursuit of more honeyed renown
& so many holy innocents who flock
to these criminals to be kept in honey

spiritual gaming

i have seen vibrance cast staunch
votes against vibrance
& deep vacuums move against
the frail infinity of the vacuum

seeking convenience

hotly cured treasures & evasions &
long ventures into the strict abode
of secrecy have limited the role
of the witness & ruled by shimmering

illusory shiverings

need you some setting to make sense
of my protest? take me for one mercurial
patient doting wingéd incessant gaze
that pulls you toward the centering content

of mind

this balance that occurs in the space
between meaning & wanting or else
feigning & seeing becomes enough
to sustain a body through monsoons of the

cosmic unthinkable
